Sookarama Vendor Info

The Sooke Lions Club, in coordination with the District of Sooke, are hosting Sookarama 2026.

Sookarama is a business trade fair designed to promote businesses in the Sooke area to both new residents as well as those of us that have been here awhile, and to publicize what goods and services are available locally.

Our previous Sookarama trade fairs have been very popular and successful events, attracting over ___ attendees annually.

Are you a local business interested in showing at Sookarama?

Sookarama is a great opportunity to promote your business with an engaging booth and personally talking with the public about what you offer.

  • Booths are approximately 10 x 10 ft. bare space.
  • Tables and chairs are not provided nor available.
  • A limited number of booths have power available.
  • Vendors are responsible for making their booths attractive to customers. We encourage vendors to offer free draws to attract customers and build their own marketing lists.
  • Booths should not have backs exceeding 6 feet high and sides cannot exceed 3 feet high, unless pre-approved by our committee.
  • Number of booths per vendor is at the discretion and pre-approval of our committee.
  • Placement of the booths will be to enhance the overall show.

To boost the overall fair-like atmosphere, there will be music and entertainment throughout the day for families and kids to enjoy; door prizes; plus food available at the Sooke Lions concession outside.

On top of it all, your participation in Sookarama supports the Sooke Lions Club and our community projects. Thank you!

Vendor Rules

  • Vendors may begin setting up their booth on Saturday at 7:30 am.
  • Booths may be open for sales from 10:00am to 3:00pm.
  • After setup, vendors are required to park their vehicles at the Sooke River Campground. There will be a shuttle from 9–10:30 am and 2:30–4 pm to bring you back and forth. This allows more parking for visitors, a benefit for all.
  • Vendors are not to start taking down their booths before 2:30 pm.
  • Vendors must keep promotional apparatus to a low noise level to not interfere with adjacent displays.
  • Only legal businesses with District of Sooke business licenses, if applicable, and following regulations of their industry are permitted.
  • Vendors must follow the venue rules of the Capital Regional District.
  • No alcohol, drugs, tobacco or vape products may be sold, advertised or consumed on the property.
  • No pets allowed in the arena except service dogs.
  • Vendors agree to follow all rules and be responsible for their staff.
